I think that there is always a bias in the news media. Like the you tube viedo we watched the other day for class shows that fox was biased. Even if the news is supposed to tell the story from every point of view possible, they somehow make it known to the viewers that one is better than the others.Rather the viewer agrees with their opinion is up to them howerver.

I agree with Taylor on the fact that the media is biased, and along with that I feel that being biased somewhat comes along with hypocracy. During the 2008 presidential election with Obama, everyday watching the news i heard something else being said about him. One day everyone is for him and the next they are talking about whether he is Muslim or not, and if he can be trusted. I hope that one day the media can be neutral and just give their audience the truth without swaying to one side over the other and only giving us half the story, or only what "they" want us to belive.

I defiantly think there is bias in the media, especially after watching the video on fox and how their views thought there were weapons of mass destruction. And though I don't watch MSNBC a lot, it is said that they are very bias as well. To be fair to their viewers, the media needs to be middle of the road and without opinion.

True. I don't get why people have to be either on this or that side and their cant just be factual truth anymore without reporters putting in their two cents about certain issues. We turn on the TV to see what's "really" happening in our society today, not to see some reporter pigeonhole us into what we should "think" is going on and what to belive. To me, news has gotten to be a form of entertainment, which is sad. I wish news reporters and news stations could just give us the truth and let that be that, but apparently, that's "too" hard to do now-a-days.

Of course the Media is biased, why else would we watch it? I've noticed that my some republican friends only watch Fox because they say it's the only reliable new source. The same goes for my democrat friends only watching MSNBC. Those of us unwilling to change our opinions or viewpoints simply will not watch a news program that could challenge or present the news in a way we might not agree with. Partisanship is a heavy player in the fact media is biased, viewership would decline heavily if they strayed from their strict fanbase, and news outlets cannot afford to lose viewers simply to make the news unbiased.

I truly believe the Media is biased. Watching the video on Fox in class was a good example of how the media is biased. I would love to be able to turn on the tv and know the true fact, not what I should be believe...but like Brad is saying, it's a matter of what you are going to believe or what you're used to. We have the chance to watch which ever station we want, but it would be nice to find one that's in the middle.
